Produced for television by Ray Burdis and directed by David Mallet, the concert was broadcast live on TV and radio to 76 countries, reaching an audience of up to one billion. This concert honored Freddie Mercury, Queen’s lead vocalist, who passed away from AIDS on 24 November 1991.
